Retail Shop Manager - Billingshurst

37.5 hours – 5 days out of 7 (inc Bank Holidays)

£18,603 p.a. + performance related bonus  

Chestnut Tree House is the children's hospice for East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire, providing specialist palliative care for children and young people with life-shortening conditions.

Are you a highly organised, sales focused manager who would love to lead our team in one of Chestnut Treehouse’s best supported and busiest Charity Shops in Billingshurst? If so, we are looking for an independently minded, successful manager who is passionate about customer service to join our team of Managers supported by our Area Manager.

Responsibilities include: Delivering excellent customer service; managing a team of staff and volunteers; stock control; visual merchandising; liaison with the Distribution Centre for stock and ; using the EPOS system; daily cash handling and banking; ensuring the staff, volunteers, the shop and the site are safe and secure. 

Experience in retail, sales or a similar fast moving customer orientated environment is an advantage. Experience of working in a charity shop or knowledge of retail sales is also highly desirable.

Location: The post is based in Billingshurst but involves some travel to the hospices and Retail Distribution Centre. The role may involve managing and supporting in other shops in Sussex as requested.
