Job Duties

This role will provide delivery management assurance control across the in house and external IT projects, development and operational environments. Providing technology assurance across traditional assessment, analysis, planning, coordination and governance models together with more agile delivery techniques, to enable the strategic goals and objectives supporting LGR’s growth ambitions to be met. 

Principal Accountabilities: 

1. Responsible for providing technology assurance across third-parties to manage / deliver elements of the LGR IT&T portfolio via traditional assessment (analysis, planning, coordination, governance models) alongside agile delivery methodology.  

2 Ensure appropriate third-party on boarding and where applicable, operational capabilities are integrated into BAU. 

3. Provide management and delivery of complex portfolios of transformational IT change projects to time and budget with innovative solutions and appropriate controls   

4. Work with the LGR IT Portfolio Delivery Manager to understand the rolling strategic transformation portfolio and support such that the LGR IT resource demand and capacity is maintained at an optimal level 

5. Responsible for ensuring adherence to IT standards and controls across the Engineering organisation, delivering capability to support the LGR IT&T customers 

6. Effective communication with key stakeholders (internal and external) to enable decision making and providing assurance control frameworks etc 

7. Ensure that the principles of Conduct Risk are embedded into your day to day operations to deliver good customer outcomes at all times. Ensure that all business processes and internal controls within your role are designed and performed in a way that delivers good customer outcomes and demonstrates effective management of Conduct Risk 

Skills Required

  • Degree and/or MBA educated in related area desirable but not essential or demonstrable equivalent experience at this level. 
  • Technical, Prince2, Project management and/or Agile qualifications  
  • PROSCI/Adkar & change qualifications - desirable but not mandatory 
  • Regulated Industry background preference 
  • Portfolio management and assurance experience with track record of effective management and reporting  
  • Track record of delivery of Portfolio plans to ensure and adhere to technology standards across complex geographical / functional matrix organizations.  
  • Proven track record of ensuring standards and frameworks are in place and portfolio plans align effectively  for delivery of large, complex, change and technology initiatives 
  • Technology appreciation and awareness  
  • Track record of building effective relationships to ensure approved agreed implementation plans 
  • Proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas 
  • Ensuring assurance confidence across all levels with technical and non-technical audiences  
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail with demonstrated ability to work independently focusing on priorities, and managing a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions 
  • Collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience with good influencing skills, ability to develop and mentor individuals   
  • Develop, get buy-in and deliver approaches across the organisation and wider division and track record of building effective relationships  
  • Effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes in in line with IT&T strategy  
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions
