Vocational Business Course Tutor

Salary: Sixth Form Colleges Association (SFCA) Teachers salary spine £24,098-£36,880 as appropriate, (pro rata)

Hours: Part-time – 0.53 -18 periods per week of 45 minutes)

Contract: Fixed term for one year from 2 September 19 until 31 August 2020

Varndean is seeking applications for an enthusiastic and suitably qualified Business Tutor to teach on a range of vocational business courses including A Level Business and BTEC L2 and L3 Business.

The successful applicant will have a relevant degree and/or professional vocational qualification and recognised teaching qualification/qualified teacher status. 

Knowledge, skills and expertise

Essential

• Detailed knowledge of the curriculum
• Proven ability to plan and prepare courses and lessons
• Ability to adopt a variety of strategies to suit students’ different learning styles
• Successful teaching experience or teaching practice in the subject in the 14-19 sector or post 16
