Care Assistant - Ferring, West Sussex
Salary: £9.00 p/h
Temp - Perm
An exciting role has become available for a dynamic, task driven Care Assistant to join a leading care provider who are expanding their team and services. You will be working as part of a dedicated and supportive team of professionals who make a real difference to the lives of service-users by adopting a service-user lead approach to their work. This organisation has great future prospects with opportunities for promotion and progression within the company and the Health and Social Care sector.
Key responsibilities
- Support service users with learning disabilities and physical disabilities in all areas of daily living and community participation
- Support individuals with their personal care and hygiene needs
- Administer medication where appropriate, in line with the company's policy
- Support service users to maximise their potential, living healthy and active lifestyles as independently as possible
- Assist in the planning and execution of individual care plans and risk management programmes
- Appropriately communicate with service-users at all times and in line with care and support plans
- Work effectively as part of a team, attending staff meetings and training when required
- Work in accordance with company policies and procedures, and all relevant legislation at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Care Assistant or Support Worker/ Senior Support Worker
- Previous experience working with vulnerable adults is essential
- NVQ Level 2 in Adult Social Care or equivalent is preferred
- Experience working with adults with learning and/or physical disabilities may be advantageous
