St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.

We are recruiting for a Corporate and Major Gifts Fundraiser who can build dynamic relationships with major donors and corporate supporters from both new and existing contacts to maximise income for the hospice. The Corporate and Major Gifts Fundraiser will identify and pursue opportunities to broaden relationships and contribute to the development of a PR and Marketing plan. This role requires an individual with strong relationship management and business development skills as well as attention to detail and an organised approach. The successful individual will demonstrate:

  • Experience of successful account management
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to convey ideas and information succinctly and persuasively.
  • Experience of delivering regular presentations to clients and staff.
  • Demonstrate experience of successful event management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to empower others.  
  • Attention to detail and well organised.
  • Experience of maintaining accurate and up to date records using a contact data base.

Educated to A-level or equivalent, the successful applicant will have excellent communication skills both spoken and written: 1 - 2 years’ experience in fundraising or equivalent experience desirable.
