We require a Computer Vision Engineer to join our clients Chassis & Safety division, which develops, produces and markets intelligent systems to improve driving safety and vehicle dynamics
Working within their algorithm development team based in Burgess Hill. You will have a proven track record of delivering novel solutions to vision-based processing problems for commercial applications and the enthusiasm to push yourself further. As a computer vision engineer you would be helping or client deliver state ­of­ the ­art software, to an exciting and growing industry from within a vibrant and multinational team.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Research and development of computer vision algorithms (C/C++ and Matlab) Including; 3D object detection, depth estimation, various classifiers, and online camera calibration.
  • Techniques include: structure from motion, deep learning, image filtering and transforms, 3D geometry and tracking
  • Prototyping and implementation in simulation tools followed by porting to embedded environments
  • Continual improvement of algorithms through automated and live testing in vehicles
  • Ensure the quality of the delivered software
  • Collaboration with worldwide team


Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in development of computer vision algorithms for commercial applications
  • Advanced C/C++ programming skills, and experience with Matlab and/or Python
    Experience with source control systems (Git) and bug tracking (Jira)
  • Experience with Agile development practices and tools (Scrum, Jira)
  • Good understanding of Code Quality metrics, Unit Testing, Static Analysis, Test Driven Development
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Fluent in English


Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with Continuous Integration and automated build systems
  • Experience with embedded software development such as ARM processors
  • Experience with safety­ critical applications and automotive industry standards such as ASPICE / MISRA
  • German language skills
