Pastry Chef– £24,000 - £27,000 + tips – 2.5 days off per week – live in accommodation

We are working on behalf of an award winning, fine dining restaurant in Kent who are looking for a Pastry Chef. This position is due to business growth and team expansion. The ideal Pastry Chef will come from a 3 rosette / high end restaurant. This restaurant is looking for a new team player to join the family. The environment is all about working together, enjoying what you do and serving the best food (with the best produce too).

The restaurant itself is located a couple of miles inland from the Kentish coast on the outskirts of Canterbury. The property has wonderful views across the river in a lovely rural setting.

As Pastry Chef you will play a key part in ensuring the Michelin star levels of cooking are met.

  • Mentoring and developing junior members of the team
  • Menu development / dish creation
  • Food ordering / sourcing local suppliers
  • Leading the team from the front

As Pastry Chef you will have guaranteed 2.5 off a week. The restaurant is closed for Sunday evening service, Monday and Tuesday. Closed every bank holiday too. As part of the role, for the right candidate there is live in accommodation and tips on top of your basic salary.
