After reopening its doors last year, although small in space, the New Unity is big in opportunity. We’re looking for a true leader with a hands-on approach to run the New Unity. With over 10 screens, sport is a huge part of the offer - so a passion for all things sport would be beneficial (and we’re not just talking football) but not necessary, if you know how to run an exceptional pub then this could still be an exciting opportunity for you.

As General Manager, your ultimate responsibility will be running the day to day of the pub, alongside leading and managing a small team to run a simple but attentive and friendly offer. The right person will have the drive and enthusiasm to grow and develop the business, championing creativity with an entrepreneurial streak.

Company
The New Unity sits in the Laine family, which is one of the most progressive pub companies in the country, with a commitment to creating sites that are more than just a place to buy a pint. Our pubs are filled with culture, from events like live music, circus shows, and comedy, to original art and great food and drinks, including beers made in our own breweries. But most importantly they’re filled with passionate intelligent young people looking for a place to connect with.

We work with the people that run our pubs – our Management Partners – in a way that encourages autonomy and creativity. We’re interested in giving them the chance to put their own stamp and personality on the site. That comes with a huge amount of support, from a dedicated Operations Manager and people to fix problems and give advice as often as they need it. As we say, “Everyone who works in Laine’s who doesn’t serve the beer are there to support those who do.”

Package

Negotiable upon experience. We offer a 12-week induction process, where you will be given the tools to run the pub as your own business alongside the Laine Pub Company group, meaning that you benefit directly from your own success.

This could be the year you make a life-changing move into hospitality in the most exciting city in the country.
