RSR Police are currently recruiting for Intelligence, Tasking, Admin & Performance Manager to work on a temporary contract based in Lewes. The ITAP Manager will be required to manage the team which will be responsible for collation, analysis and dissemination of intelligence, including intelligence led tasking within Operations Command (OC).
Main duties and responsibilities
To task resources intelligently across OC and partner agencies. To manage the Operations
Command administrative function, responsible for supporting relevant disciplines: Strategic Support,
Public Order Training, and Firearms Coordination.
To identify fluctuations in demand and performance relating to core Operations Command responsibilities, including casualty reduction and crime and, with partners and business leads, to develop long-term strategies and shorter term tactical interventions to improve performance.
Oversee and manage the collation, analysis and interpretation of Operations Command performance information, in tandem with Force objectives, from a variety of different sources and brief the Senior
Management Team, looking in depth at performance matters relating to policing activity. Manage the production and communication of relevant performance data and reports in relation to Operations Command for the
Command Team and attend relevant performance meetings to present where necessary.
Lead, manage and develop all staff within the Intelligence, Tasking, Administration and Performance Unit.
Oversee development of intelligence products in order to identify and manage the Operations Command’s threats. Robust prioritisation management to oversee timely delivery of strategic, tactical and performance products.
Lead liaison with key partners to coordinate effective tasking of resources to address mutually agreed priorities.
Ensure the timely production and dissemination of analytical products that inform the decision making process and to also contribute to the promotion of an intelligence-led culture throughout the organisation.
Oversee the production of responses to requests from NPCC, SERICC,
Knowledge Skills and Experience
Experience of intelligence, tasking, performance and/or equivalent vocational qualifications along with management experience.
Educated to degree level or equivalent
Experience of running a fast paced, multi-discipline environment.
Knowledge of National Intelligence Model with experience of intelligence environment in terms of analysis and dissemination of intelligence, including intelligence led tasking, across Operations Command and partner agencies.
Ability to monitor and interpret performance and make recommendations for improvement measures across Operations Command.
Ability to set up and oversee maintenance of Operations Command Strategic Threat and Risk Assessment (STRAs) across operational disciplines.
Knowledge of tasking and tactical options
Ability to prioritise based on principles of threat, harm and risk and opportunities.
Proven effective decision making ability
