Purpose of Role

Our Berkeley Alexander business, based in Lewes, East Sussex, are seeking a New Business Development Executive. The role will be primarily providing quotations for SME, Commercial and Property Owners products to our clients and agents. The role will also involve some account management of our agents to help them write more business with us. Minimum 12 months previous insurance experience required, ideally in a sales role within a broker.

Duties will include:

• Offering quotations on new business
• Taking ownership of customer accounts, resolving enquiries and problems in a timely and efficient manner
• Maintaining a positive and growing relationship with customers and agents
• Leads will be provided through a variety of sources and you will also have the opportunity to assist in the development of the sales strategy
• Maintaining technical knowledge and customer servicing skills.

Requirements:

• Proven new business and insurance experience
• Sound technical knowledge of different insurance products
• Experience in providing specialist sales advise in the insurance market
• A thorough understanding of the insurance market

Essential Criteria – must be clearly demonstrated on CV

• Background in Insurance - Either at an Insurer or Broker
• Background in Customer Service/Sales
