Technical Enquires Controller

Due to demand, our manufacturing client is currently seeking an “Estimating Pre-Qualification Controller” to review and manage all new enquires that are sent to the business as well as supporting the Estimating Manager and Sales Manager in contribute to the business' continuing growth.

You will be required to use the database to determine whether the enquiry has been quoted before, to ensure the quote is accurate and to input the quote into database and keep all up to date.

The Role

• Review and manage all new enquires.
• Determine whether we have quoted others or if we have received the enquiry from others.
• Inputting of data into the database, ensuring information us keep up to date and accurate.
• Allocate standard enquires to Estimators.
• Assist with the quoting of projects as well as the revision of projects quoted by others.
• Pass smaller, straight forward quotes onto the internal sales teams.
• Forward any new business customers or high priority enquires to the Sales Manager.
• Communicate with customers to establish return dates and advise when these can be expected.
• Support the Estimating Manager and Estimators on request for information documents and request missing information.
• Assisting with incoming calls to the Estimating Department.
• Gain knowledge of all products, applications in order to be able to advise customers.
• Flexible approach to daily duties to ensure the work load is addressed and shared appropriately.

Experience

• Experience in a busy administration or estimator position – looking at quotes, bids/tenders, and/or enquires.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills are key. Training on their in-house database will be given.
• Confident in liaising with Customers and Key Personnel.
• Strong phone skills and good manner.

Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm, 1 hour’s lunch
