Job Description

We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Waking Night Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people with a learning disability, to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in our services in Haywards Heath. We have two part time, permanent positions for 3 or 2 night shifts a week.

We have two supported living services next door to each other where we are supporting 8 adults in total who have profound and multiple learning disabilities, together with complex healthcare requirements such as physical disabilities and sensory impairments. We provide support in all aspects of daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, medication, finances, personal care, support out in the community to shops or appointments as well as leisure activities they enjoy doing such as swimming, baking, gym, arts & crafts, horse riding lessons, meals out and watching sports!

A Waking Night Support Worker is required to ensure the people we support well being throughout the night by providing regular checks and supporting with medication and personal care, admin duties such as updating the days care plans and light domestic duties. Waking night shifts are 22.00 - 07.00 so you may also be involved in any evening activities such as board games or watching films and supporting them to get ready for bed or up for the day!
