ASSISTANT FINANCIAL ACCOUNTANT (Eastbourne)
£25,060 - £25,901 p.a.
full time, permanent.
Effective financial management is central to ensuring the success of the East Sussex College Group.
Supporting our Financial Accountant in all aspects of reporting, you’ll take part in audits, investigations and undertake regular reconciliations of our balance sheet control accounts. Every day will bring different challenges, such as providing information for monthly and year end accounts, preparing VAT returns and maintaining the fixed asset register.
This might be a step up for you now you are part qualified, or you may have recently started your professional journey and looking for greater exposure to the range of finance activities. This will be a role for you to explore all aspects and responsibilities across a busy finance function.
You’ll have experience of financial reporting in a medium to large sized organisation, be able to work with budget holders to help them understand financial data and have worked on tasks such as balance sheet reconciliation, year-end processes, audits, variance reporting and maintenance of finance systems. The ability to communicate effectively, challenging but supporting our budget holders manage their budgets effectively will be essential.
