Job Title: IT Dev Engineer/Helpdesk Support
Burgess Hill
£15ph - £20ph
Are you looking for a contract role in which the work you do really matters?
Our client is seeking an IT Development Engineer to work within their project team, you will be assisting with the migration and deployment of a new Windows 10 image across the business.
You will be working on a new project to configure and deploy the standard of their Windows
10 desktop to all devices within the project scope, audit existing software and devices and
provide support for Google G Suite applications.
Your key activities for this role will include:
Planning and scheduling migration activities based on end user and operational requirements
Reviewing existing configurations and identifying compatibility issues
Deploying and patching the standre corporate image to end user devices
Performing remote and desk side support for user applications and hardware
Assisting with workflows spanning the Global Helpdesk function and local support teams
Key Responsibilities
Ensure that all migration prerequisites have been successfully completed to a high
standard
Provide customer centric support for all applicationsn, end-users and their
devices
Effectively communicate with all areas of the business, proactively finding solutions and
delivering added value
Deploy, validate and perform quality testing of client hardware builds and applications
Who you are
Educated to GCE A-Level or equivalent, you will have previous experience with large
scale Windows deployments and post migration support.
You will be confident in providing support and guidance to all end users, able to
demonstrate your IT knowledge, project management, incident resolution, request and
change management skills.
Able to work in a professional manner and maintain a consistent image through open
communication, collaboration and a strong desire to over achieve.
Show an aptitude for a range of technologies, from software installations to cloud
services, able to support users with varying levels of experience and capability.
Able to demonstrate integrity, courage and passion in your work, inspiring others to do
now what the customer needs next.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Excellent knowledge of Windows 10 (deployment and troubleshooting)
Previous experience rolling out desktop applications and hardware within a corporate
environment
Previous experience supporting Google G Suite applications such as Gmail, Google
Sheets, and Google Hangouts
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Excellent general knowledge of cloud based technologies, applications and services
Experience of troubleshooting laptop builds and repair, Active Directory and mobile
handsets (including Apple iPhone and iPads)
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to work effectively using own initiative or contribute as part of a larger team
Highly motivated and proactive approach to solving problems
Experience of working in an end user/customer facing environment
Desirable:
Exposure to ITIL framework
Suitable IT related qualification
Experience with Office 365
Project management experience
The working hours for this role are 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday, covering hours
between 07.00 - 18.00.
