Community Fundraising Officer

St Barnabas House, Worthing

37.5 hours a week

£20,180 - £21, 230 p.a depending on depth and variety of experience in a similar role.

St Barnabas House provides specialist palliative care to adults in the Worthing, Adur, Arun and Henfield areas through a range of services, including in-patient care, day hospice and community care.

As a member of the Community Fundraising Team at St Barnabas House, the role of Fundraising Officer is pivotal to ensuring we deliver the highest level off support to individuals, groups, local businesses and volunteers who are fundraising to help provide local hospice care.

The role includes:

  • Credible representation of the hospice in the community, at events and giving presentations.
  • Provide support and advice to individuals, groups, schools and local businesses who are fundraising for the hospice.
  • Contribute to development of the overall community fundraising plans.
  • Take the lead on delivering community fundraising campaigns like The Big Get Together.
  • Be an excellent communicator both in person and through written communications.
  • Able to deliver to deadlines, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to manage conflicting deadlines and prioritise workload.
  • Experience using In-design or Photoshop an advantage.
  • Numerate with good IT skills, data base knowledge, Outlook and Excel Spreadsheets.
  • You need to be a good listener who likes meeting people and is friendly and fun.
