You’ll lead our innovative Marketing department to create and execute the marketing strategy, encompassing brand, customer experience, social and customer communications in support of First Central’s strategic growth objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Develop and deliver the group marketing plan in conjunction with the commercial, financial and operational teams
• Lead, coach and inspire a team of marketing professionals to exceed their objectives
• Own the company’s stable of brands, working across the organisation to ensure we’re communicating our values both internally and externally to engage and inspire customers and colleagues alike
• Be the customer advocate within the organisation, creating a change agenda that improves the customer experience and maximises customer retention
• Constantly hunt for new ways of maximising new business and customer retention through the creation and evolution of propositions and the identification of new sales channels
• Lead on the customer communication strategy, developing customer communications that meet and beat customers’ expectations
• Share insightful customer research and help to drive engagement around the business that promotes good performance through quality service
• Engage in wider company projects and lead the Marketing team to deliver exciting new journeys, products and propositions

Experience & knowledge

• Proven track record of success in senior marketing roles
• Significant experience in financial services
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (including FCA and ASA)
• Excellent communication, both verbal and written
• Strong presentation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment
• Commercially focused with a highly driven, trading-like mentality to delivering results
• Highly collaborative and self-sacrificing when appropriate
• Stubborn approach to protect brand values
• Compassionate leader able to identify and respond to the needs of colleagues to provide a great working environment and deliver target outcomes
