Your new role

The Digital Sales Manager will be responsible for planning, leading and coordinating sales activities related to content-rich databases, technical subscriptions, and digital learning tools.

The main function of the Digital Sales Manager is to support the achievement of sales growth targets by;

Sourcing, targeting and winning new business from clients through a combination of self-generated and incoming leads from proactive marketing campaigns

Owning relationships with existing accounts in order to identify opportunities to up sell

This is a great opportunity for a self-starting and motivated individual to join a growing team. This is a hands-on role that will require comprehensive selling experience in a digital environment.

  • Define and execute a strategy that ensures predictable, repeatable, and scalable sales result
  • Provide insight to leadership team on trends and opportunities within the Information Services market
  • Partner with other members of the product teams to monitor and maximize revenue per user
  • Actively and professionally manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and lead management to prospecting, arranging appointments, negotiating, closing and handing over new accounts to the Customer Account Coordinator
  • Use CRM dashboards to provide regular reporting on activity
  • Respond to any incoming leads from sales & marketing campaign activity
  • Attend relevant events to promote and sell products nationally and internationally if required


Development

  • Review existing client base and segmentation on a regular basis to identify potential market opportunities
  • Work closely with marketing to develop an integrated sales and marketing approach
  • Analytical skills to collect business intelligence by conversing with clients and identifying /monitoring trends in data reports

What you'll need to succeed

Key competencies and experience

  • Demonstrable experience and track record as a digital sales lead
  • Comprehensive knowledge of content marketing especially valuable
  • Experience of relationship management best practice within a Business-to-Business or Business-to-Consumer environment
  • Proven ability in effective implementation of sales strategy and positive engagement with customers and colleagues
  • Knowledge of Google Analytics is advantageous

  • Excellent time-management, prioritisation and organisational skills
  • High levels of drive and commitment no matter what the challenge
  • Be a self-starter, problem solver with the ability to make ideas reality
  • An excellent communicator on all levels, you will have a high standard of written and spoken English in addition to strong listening skills
  • Language skills would be an advantage but not essential
