Our client has an immediate opportunity for a southern based experienced lighting controls business development manager, ideally situated within Sussex, Surrey, Kent or Hampshire.
The successful lighting controls sales person will be working for an established organisation and leading name within the intelligent lighting controls sector. This market specialist design and manufacture intelligent lighting control systems that can be tailored to suit the needs of any building.
As the Business Development Manager you would be responsible for generating sales and business growth by developing and creating new business opportunities within the rail, pharmaceutical and commercial offices space.
The specific individual we are seeking will possess existing business relationships with the end user and electrical contractors and consultants in London & southern area.
Key Responsibilities of a BDM (lighting controls) will include:
To develop and build long-term professional customer relationships with existing and potential clients within product sales.
To identify and build a long term active pipeline, exploring both existing markets and targeting new market opportunities
To develop and deliver exceptional sales and tender documents and presentations in line with Company standard and expectation
Raise the company and business profile by representing trade shows and events, high level networking and promoting an image of professionalism at all times
Keep up-to-date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market trends
Attend monthly sales reviews with the Managing Director at the Head Office to ensure he is fully updated on all sales activities and potential new business opportunities.
Ensure that other departments such as HR, H&S, Quality and Commercial are advised and kept updated.
Successful candidates would also be expected to have an understanding of DALI
