Horticulture Resources Co-ordinator
£21,087 - £23,045 per annum
37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
We are recruiting for an experienced Horticulturalist to be part of our successful Horticulture and Arboriculture team. You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the department, undertaking duties such as health and safety audits, ordering resources and liaising with the tutors and facilitating the curriculum requests. You will also have the responsibility for a proportion of your working week in delivering work experience with the students on the unit. The role will support the development of students’ knowledge, skills and behaviours throughout their programme setting targets and completing relevant documentation to support distance travelled.
You will have a working knowledge of Horticulture and be responsible for maintaining the area and displays and provide care for the plant stock and have strong plant identification knowledge. You will also be required to maintain the machinery and hold relevant NPTC competency qualifications. A good working knowledge of Arboriculture equipment and legislations to maintain effective Health and Safety compliance.
