Job Title: Head of Research & Development (Hardware Team)

Do you have a Bachelors level degree in Electronic Engineering or similar field? Do you have experience in product design as an Electronic Engineer?

This new role will be responsible for leading the product research, development and innovation to create market leading products.

The successful applicant will be required to:

Lead by example and manage the team across mechanical, electronic, electrical, embedded and systems engineering.
Create and execute a product road map for EV charging at home, workplaces and public charging (AC & DC) including improving the environmental sustainability of the product portfolio
Drive product innovation and contribute to creating solutions for customers.
Introduce cutting edge approaches for customer centric product design and maintain appropriate design standards
Lead and develop the technical capability of the team and support other teams across the business to do the same

Essential criteria:

Minimum Bachelors level degree in Electronic Engineering or similar field
Experience in product design as an Electronic Engineer
Experience in project management throughout the concept to launch lifecycle
Familiar with Waterfall and AGILE methodology
Experience in managing cross technology development teams
Experience of designing to IEC 61851 and working to BS7671
Experience of reading technical drawings and documents and writing up engineering documents
To be ideal for this role you will have:
Previous working experience in the EV industry
