Day Opportunities and Lifelong Learning Manager

 

Chailey Heritage Foundation is seeking a manager to be responsible for the operation of “the Hub”, our on-site day service which offers a choice of activities reflecting the interests of the young adults who choose to spend their time with us.

 

As our Day Opportunities and Lifelong Learning Manager, you will be responsible for the growth and development of our service ensuring the delivery of outstanding quality care alongside exciting activities.  Reporting to the Head of Community Operations, in this varied and rewarding role you will be involved in converting new client enquiries, care planning and conducting risk assessments ensuring compliance to relevant legal and regulatory requirements and managing a team making sure that exceptional service is delivered to our clients and workloads are managed accordingly.

 

 What are we looking for?

 

  • Experience of working with children and/or adults with disabilities at a minimum of Team Leader level
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the operational and management requirements of a day and/or community service
  • A commitment to quality and providing the best support possible to the young adults within our care
  • NVQ 4 or Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care, or willingness to achieve within first twelve months 
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to meet the demands of the business; some evening and weekend working will be required
