About Us
The Fire Fighters Charity is the organisation that supports the mental, physical and social needs of the members of the UK Fire and Rescue Service community. We recognise that no two people requesting our support do so for the same reason and tailor our service to achieve the best outcomes for each of our beneficiaries.
When the rescuers need it the most, we rescue them.
As part of our UK-wide range of support services, Marine Court, in the seaside town of Littlehampton offers accommodation and services to help our beneficiaries recover from a physically damaging or mentally traumatising experience.
We have a part time role for an Administrator, working 10.63 hours per week over a 4 week shift pattern.
Pay and Benefits
- Pay: £6,022.25 per annum (£10.89 per hour)
- Pension: 8% pension contributions (contributions are paid by the Charity on your behalf; you may also choose to make your own contribution if you wish to do so)
- Annual leave: 25 days rising to 27 plus bank holidays (pro rata)

Your Role
As an Administrator, you will be efficient, courteous and professional, ensuring that the highest standard of customer service is consistently delivered.
Specifically, you will:
- Be the first point of contact for our beneficiaries and visitors
- Efficiently process applications for beneficiary services
- Process bookings for accommodation as availability and demand allows
- Working with all teams to provide a supportive, welcoming, informative and professional environment for our beneficiaries at the Centre and over the telephone
- Utilising technology to provide up-to-date information
About You
To be considered for the post of Administrator, you will need:
- Experience in a customer service environment
- Experience in administration
- Excellent communication skills via telephone, in person and in writing
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications including: Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in the use of customer relationship management software
- The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
