Business Continuity Specialist - B&CE

The role is recognised as an expert and trusted partner in this area with a breadth of expertise and experience in developing, maintain and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact assessments, strategy selection and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery. The position focuses on ensuring continuity in business processes before, during and after a disaster.

Key responsibilities:

• To be the provider of specialised knowledge of Business Continuity by being the subject matter expertise of Business Continuity Management working with all business areas
• Accountable for the design, co-ordination and delivery of facilitating disaster recovery scenarios with key stakeholders
• Supporting our IT teams to ensure their disaster recovery approach for critical systems and applications are consistent and robust
• Developing and completing annual gap analysis on the framework to identify areas for continued improvement
• Manage the Incident Management process to continuously support updates to processes, systems and controls

If you’re right for this role?

• Must have extensive business continuity/disaster recovery/crisis management experience within financial services
• To have a relevant professional qualification and membership of a recognised professional BCM body or equivalent
• Can act quickly, communicating calmly, effectively and authoritatively, during a crisis
• Experience of Work Area Recovery testing with a focus on creating value
• Ability to work as a trusted partner to senior business leaders
• Experience of risk management methodologies
