A highly successful manufacturing sector client is currently seeking a technically strong finance professional to join their organisation as Financial Controller. Following a period of sustained impressive growth, this newly created role has been created by the Finance Director to take full ownership of one of the businesses within the group so that they can focus on other areas. Due to this, the successful candidate will need to be someone confident in their own abilities who can self-manage and work autonomously.

The role will report directly into the Managing Director and be a leadership role, overseeing the entirety of the accounting function for an SME sized enterprise. It's expected that this person will need to hire and develop their own small team in-line with the company's continued growth.

Role Summary:

Managing all finance and accounting operations

Payroll and payroll reporting

Preparing and controlling the budget, financial forecasts and reporting of variances

Preparing and publishing timely monthly management accounts

Candidate Requirements:

Qualified Accountant (Finalist level considered)

Strong Excel skills including pivots and lookups

Experience of payroll

Knowledge and understanding of multi-company / inter-company transactions

A background within SME enterprises and evidence of good technical accounting abilities relating to the above

A dynamic, driven individual who communicates professionally and confidently at all levels
