Full-time

Are you an experienced Registered Children’s Home Manager living close to the Crawley area of West Sussex? This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a brand-new children’s home, be part of it from the beginning and create an amazing legacy.

Help to create positive futures

The home has been recently refurbished and decorated to a high standard and will support children aged 7 – 17 living with Emotional Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a modern 8-bedded service with a music room, library, computer room and chill-out room for each young person to enjoy. Their aim is to create a warm and safe environment where all the children can feel a sense of belonging and be valued for who they are. They also work with several local businesses who want to support them and create positive futures for the young people, so when the children are ready to transition out of the service, they ensure they have a place in a further education setting or paid employment.

As their Registered Manager, you will be key in developing the service and bringing it up to full occupancy. You will take the OFSTED registration for the service. You will be pro-active and have the autonomy to make the role your own and put your own stamp on the home, ensuring the highest standard of support is always provided.

What experience & qualifications are required?

* You will hold Level 3 or 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Child Care, or equivalent;

* You will have at least 5 year’s relevant children’s home experience and at least two years in a management role;

* You will have a proven track record and you will be able to evidence a “Good” or “Outstanding” in OFSTED inspections;

* You will also hold a full driving licence.

Above all, you will have excellent leadership skills and you will be a positive role model to your team. You will also be passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children you support.

If you are excited by this amazing opportunity, we would love to hear from you. Health & Social Care Jobs are proud to recruit for the Social Care Sector and when you click on apply, one of our friendly careers advisors will contact you to discuss this in more detail. We only employ experts, so you can always rely on us to look after you during your career change.
