Our client is a small independent software company established over 20 years ago, specialising in international business management solutions. Clients use their system software in 35 countries.

Developer function: Angular developer responsible for the developing, maintenance and support of existing Cloud Web Application: Development of new modules, Integration with third party applications.

Main Responsibilities

Support

  • Work with the Support team to understand requirements and bugs or defects detected by customers
  • Investigate, analyse and document reported defects
  • Perform maintenance programming + correction of identified defects
  • Provide front line support on help desk as and when required

Cloud Development

  • Review business requirements and/or specifications
  • Design functional system areas
  • Perform coding to written technical specifications and agreed completion deadlines
  • Execute unit and system testing
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Report progress to the Technical Director and/or Project Manager(s) on a regular basis

Skills Involved

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • Bootstrap 4
  • Angular 6+
  • Ability to code software according to published standards and design guidelines
  • Consumption of REST Based API developed using C# and applying Token Based Authentication
  • Testing of the components created using Jasmine and Karma along with Protractor

Experience & Personal Requirements

  • The company is open-minded about the experience level required and willing to consider applicants from new graduate to experienced developer. Mentoring will be provided to a less experienced successful applicant.
  • Self-motivated with a good attention to detail
  • While we expect applicants to have computer programming training or experience this opportunity would also suit a bright enthusiastic applicant to become a software developer
  • An experienced developer seeking a full-time role only would be considered.

This role ideally suits self-motivated individuals who can work well within a small team, but also with little supervision. This position will help the company to keep its customers enthusiastic and appreciative of the responsiveness of its support function. Perhaps half of the time the successful applicant will be working on support, the other half on the development of new functionality. Being a good speaker and writer of English is critically important and you must be able to deal with clients over the phone and by email when required. The role is office based.
