Admissions Assistant

Full-Time (37.5 hours per week)

Based in central Brighton

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a passionate and experienced person to work in their Admissions Assistant team.

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a person who is passionate about providing great service to join the team at their Brighton office.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for processing admissions from application to enrolment over the telephone. This will include undertaking back-of-house enrolment processing, validating eligibility, administering payment processing and appropriately managing obtained documentation.

This will involve providing general and available advice, resolving queries and referring or escalating enquiries as needed.

Key duties:

  • Participate in the admissions processes to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Undertake eligibility checks.
  • Ensure payments are processed or payment plans are initiated through the appropriate channels.
  • Ensure all documentation is managed and filed appropriately according to Institute standards.
  • Support the local onboarding of new customers.
  • Perform the dual role of the Reception point.
  • Provide an exemplary level of customer service aligned with service standards.
  • Provide course advice.

Skills and experience:

  • Degree-educated desirable.
  • Experience working in higher education is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Customer service experience at a high level.
  • Ability to understand and apply the admissions processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with peers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organisation skills.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Demonstrated initiative and problem solving skills.
  • High attention to detail.
