This is a fantastic opportunity to work at senior management level for one of the largest independant care companies in the UK.

As Service Manager, you will have responsibility for managing the existing supported living and domiciliary care services within West Sussex. Your role will involve leading a team of Support Workers to ensure that an innovative and person-centred approach is delivered to every individual we care for. Reporting to the Head of Service and Operations Manager you will effectively manage all staffing levels and be responsible for the administration and financial matters related to this provision.

This role would suit a confident, proactive and experienced Manager with previous experience of managing Supported Living and Domiciliary services.

This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis, working 40 hours per week with flexibility to travel within the West Sussex area and cover the needs of the business when required.

Your duties would include:

  • Maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers whilst developing a personalised support plan to meet the needs of each individual
  • Performing regular reviews of individuals support plans in line with individual needs, statutory guidelines and Company policy
  • Providing strategic development of the service to ensure best practice and continuous improvement
  • Recruiting new members of staff, in line with the selection process and with the support of the HR team
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with CQC, commissioning authorities and framework agreements

Key Skills Required

  • Ideally hold or be willing to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent
  • Hold a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care, Adults (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager with CQC, ideally within a Supported Living or Domiciliary setting
  • Experience of working with Local Authority Social Work teams
  • Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
