Specialist Adult Speech and Language Therapist

Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust are looking to recruit two qualified Speech and Language Therapists with a clinical interest in adults. The service currently covers the Adur, Arun, Chanctonbury, and Worthing areas. The caseload is mainly acquired and progressive neurological conditions but also includes other health conditions as well as adult stammering. The successful candidates will need to demonstrate experience and knowledge in assessment, treatment and management of patients who have acquired communication and swallowing problems following neurological events. You will ideally have completed dysphagia competencies at Level B RCSLT Dysphagia competency and be working through your Level C RCSLT Dysphagia competency. You will have experience of low and high tech AAC. The role requires travel across the community so car drivers/owners are required.

This job is for enthusiastic and motivated clinicians with very good communication, organisational and time management skills. Regular one to one supervision will be provided and there will also be opportunities to participate in peer group supervision, regular in-service meetings and our service clinical forums. We also have a good social support network.
