Due to continuing levels of growth an excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a highly respected and very successful M&E Building Services contractor.

They provide Mechanical & Electrical services across multiple sectors, including Retail, Commercial, Healthcare, Schools, Industrial, Public Buildings etc, with typical contract values ranging from £100k up to £3m.

The successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate all aspects of the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of projects assigned to them, ensuring that high quality, compliant installations are delivered to the customer in a manner consistent with the company’s contract management system. Further to establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with customers and supply chain.

The ideal Project Manager will have:

  • M&E contracting background and a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience on design and build, new build and refurbishment projects
  • High level of technical knowledge
  • Someone who is ambitious, dynamic, self-motivated and driven
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong Management Skills
  • Good IT Skills
  • Relevant Mechanical/Building Services Qualifications

Typical Duties for the role of Mechanical Project Manager –

  • Management of design or pre-commencement phase
  • Technical submissions/approvals of plant/equipment
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, quantity surveyors and other third parties
  • Procurement of the project
  • Project set-up
  • Production of construction/commissioning programmes
  • Management of site team
  • Achieving project milestones and deadlines
  • Financial management of the project and working to budgets set
  • Quality control
  • Health and safety management of all project staff
  • Production of risk and method statements
  • Management of the commissioning activities
  • Final delivery to completion dates
  • Production of record and completion documentation

Base salary guide -

  • £48k - £60k depending on experience, plus company car or car allowance, excellent Bonus scheme and Pension.
