Stores Manager

Brilliant opportunity to join an established company based in Rustington West Sussex 

Roles and responsibilities of a Stores Manager:

• Manage , lead and develop a high performing stores team
• Ensure team has adequate training and certificates to undertake their job
• Active role in overseeing and assisting with container unloads and deliveries 
• Liaising with other departments in the business to arrange 
• Sorting and carrying bulky orders ensuring they are not damaged
• Ensuring orders are ready for dispatch and installation jobs are ready daily 
• Responsible for the department budget
• Proactive role in stock takes of items ensuring levels of products are maintained 
• Maintain the warehouse area and vehicles 
• React accordingly to any changes brought on my unforeseen circumstances 
• Ensure the company complies with Health and Safety regulations 

Requirements of a Stores Manager:

• Solid background in supervising a team in a warehouse environment
• Must be comfortable with physical work due to the nature of the work - unloading large bulky items 
• Proactive and hands on with supervising staff
• Strong time management skills ensuring all deadlines are met 
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment 
• Must be organised and priorities workload 
• Must have transport to be able to travel to both sites also hold a  counter balance forklift certificate
• Strong IT and numeracy skills with knowledge of SAP and MRP systems

Hours: 8am - 4.00pm Monday to Thursday , Friday 8am -2pm with a degree of flexibility required 

Pay: £16.83ph
