Role: Incoming Quality / Assembly Line / Production Line Finisher
Duration: Up to 6 months
Location: Haywards Heath
Rate of Pay: £9.75 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm
(some overtime, weekend work and nightwork may be required - overtime rates and shift premiums are available)
Benefits: 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) plus bank holidays, paid overtime, uniform provided
We are delighted to be working with a Global company and long term client who are seeking an Assembly Line/Production Line Finisher on a temporary basis for up to 6 months. This is a great opportunity for an individual looking for a stable position in a varied working environment, located in Haywards Heath. The successful applicant will be working as part of a small team to complete various production, assembly and warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection of incoming goods - checking for part codes / quantities / condition
Report any errors or issues to Line Manager
To complete light to medium assembly work of soft components onto metal, through to full assembly of finished product. All work completed in accordance with issued specifications and work instructions
Working in teams across sub-assembly, assembly and the testing work stations
Finishing all products ready for packing - prepping, cleaning, checking, finishing and packing for transport
Some basic computer terminal work
Complete all relevant documentation and ensure products comply with marking and tagging requirements Required Skills
Experience in an assembly based role is essential
Need to demonstrate good dexterity skills whilst working flexibly across a range of sub-assembly, assembly and testing work stations
Physical stamina is important given the activities involve constant manual effort and standing throughout the shift, in addition to lifting weights of 5-15kgs
The activity also involves the use of pneumatic tools, simple hand tools, assembly aids and a variety of cranes and hoists
Jobholders must be reliable, hardworking and flexible, with a problem-solving approach to work
A team player, able to maintain a good work relationship with other team members
Flexible working may be required to suit periods of higher demand
