We are looking for someone who will be responsible for our quality and safety team, providing

We are looking for an Associate Director of Quality and Safety to join our Quality and Safety team, providing management and leadership on all areas of clinical governance including patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience.

We are a friendly and inclusive Trust, and we pride ourselves on developing staff and helping them to reach their full potential. Our dedicated teams provide adult and children's community nursing and therapy services, conducting 9,000 patient contacts every day, and staffing community inpatient rehabilitation hospitals with more than 300 beds across East and West Sussex.

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of clinical governance including patient safety, risk management, patient experience and engagement and clinical effectiveness, supporting the delivery of high quality and safe care for all who use the Trust's services. They will be required to work closely with the Area Heads of Quality and Governance and the operational managers. They will promote a culture which focuses on the provision of high quality, compassionate, safe, effective care and continuous improvement, which allows staff to maximise their potential and is underpinned by honest, open communication.

They will work as part of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Nurse and working collectively to ensure high quality care is consistently delivered across all services and support functions. The post holder will ensure clinical governance assurance systems are robust and promote a learning culture with continuous quality improvement.

The post holder will be responsible for the management of the following functions:
  • Safeguarding adult and children's services
  • Claims, litigation and inquests
  • Freedom to Speak Up
  • Health and Safety
