Patient Experience Advisor - 30 hours per week

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated part time Patient Experience Advisor to join the Quality and Safety department as a member of the Patient Experience team. Applicants should be dedicated to capturing the voice of the patient and using feedback to drive improvements in care.

You will need to have a keen eye for detail, demonstrable problem-solving experience, and be able to remain calm under pressure. This challenging role will include meeting patients, service users and relatives, as well as speaking regularly on the telephone offering support, information and guidance, sometimes in difficult and sensitive situations.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to work closely with clinical staff and manage a caseload of complaints and responses, so you must be able to work autonomously and deliver to a very high standard. You will also have a delegated remit to achieve the goals of the Trust's Patient Experience and Engagement Strategy and priorities.

Ideally you will have experience of working in a PALS (Patient Advice and Liaison Service), complaints or patient experience environment, and possess well-developed interpersonal skills and computer literacy. You should also have a general knowledge of the NHS complaints procedure.

This is a challenging but rewarding post, within a supportive team who are focused on improving the experiences of patients and their families.
