FOOD PREPARATION AND NUTRITION TECHNICIAN

NJC GRADE 4, points 5-6

£18,795 - £19,171 (£15,651 - £15,965 pro rata)

Full-Time, Term Time Only plus INSET Days

8.00 am – 4.00 pm, 36.25 hours per week (unpaid lunch and break)

Are you an experienced Food/Design Technician?  Do you have an active interest and experience in working with Food?

The role will require you

• To be on hand to support teachers with class practical work
• To prepare resources for teaching staff
• To maintain stock levels and the purchase of ingredients, materials and other consumables
• To order ingredients for some students in need
• To assist in the preparation of demonstrations and setting up equipment
• To manage and maintain equipment, tools and materials
• To support the organisation and daily running of the food rooms
• To have an up to date Food Safety L2 Award (or willing to undertake once appointed)
• Knowledge of Food and Nutrition and a joy of cooking would be an advantage
