Vacancy description

The employer will be interviewing throughout the advertisement period.

The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in the following:

• Measuring, marking, cutting, bending and jointing pipework
• Assisting in the installation of kitchens, bathrooms and fittings.
• Assist in the Installation, servicing, commissioning and maintaining plumbing and heating systems. 
• Follows health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in the design of water and heating systems. 
• Assist in servicing systems and finding faults.
• Other duties to suit the needs of the business as the course progresses.

It is essential to have a full UK Driving licence due to the nature of the work.

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades A*-C/9-4 (or equivalent) in maths, English and science.

Future prospects

There may be a full time role that you can apply for at the end of the apprenticeship.

Things to consider

The majority of our clients are in rural areas so driving is essential. 

Ideally the company are looking for someone with some plumbing experience or a plumbing qualification.

Training to be provided

• Apprenticeship Certificate (Pass, Merit or Distinction)
• Level 3 Diploma in Plumbing and Domestic Heating
• Gas qualified: CCN1 Core Domestic and CENWAT Boilers and Water Heaters. On completion candidates will be able to get gas safe registered
• Level 2 Functional Skills in English and maths (equivalent to GCSE grade A-C or level 9-4) unless exempt.

Apprenticeship standard: Plumbing and Domestic Heating Technician.
