Job Details
The role involves IT support within the School keeping all PC’s & Interactive Boards functioning; server maintenance & back-ups of data; keep the school’s email & cloud infrastructure functioning; advise on hard & software purchases; keep the Website functioning well & social media development. The role will involve business and financial analysis.
Working week: Monday-Friday, 08:00 to 15:00 with 1 hour for lunch. Total hours per week: 30.00
This is a varied and interesting role split between supporting the School’s IT Technician and the Head of Finance & Operations in the Business Analysis element of the role.
Apprentice IT Technician:
- Provide all staff with technical support for their hardware and software and provide group and individual help and training
- Support the maintenance of the school’s hardware and network and cloud based resources and infrastructure to ensure its effective use
- Maintain and develop the school website in conjunction with the Office staff
- Contribute to the School’s eSafety policy and its application across the School
- Support the maintenance of an appropriate and safe level of internet access
- Assist with Installation of new equipment and software
- With the IT Technician monitor the Leases, Inventory, Licences and Accounts
- Support relationship with external providers of technical support and equipment when required
Apprentice Business Analyst
- Provide technical support for the School’s Management Information System (currently Engage by Double First)
- Develop system generated reports for analysis of school performance and pupil data
- Work alongside Head of Finance & Operations on forecasting budgeting and reporting of School’s finances
