Job Details

The successful candidate will work under the supervision of an electrician, and will be expected to perform the following duties; Tests electrical and equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance, Installs, repairs, diagnose and rectify faults on a range of circuits and equipment.

Working week: To be discussed at interview. Total hours per week: 40.00

Expected duration 48 months

Possible start date 09 Nov 2020

Apprenticeship level Advanced Level 3 (A level)

 

You will be working under supervion and the day to day tasks would include:

  • Install electrical services (e.g. wiring systems, lighting, sockets, fire alarms, emergency lighting & heating controls)
  • Read and understand engineering drawings, wiring and circuit diagrams
  • Inspect and test electrical installations
  • Diagnose and rectify faults on a range of circuits and equipment
  • Use small hand tools such as hammers, saws, screwdrivers etc.
  • Operate electrical tools such as chopsaws, grinders, combi drills, impact drivers etc.
  • Install the systems needed for wiring and cables such as brackets and containment
  • Lay, pull and string cables
