Based at our West Durrington campus

Approximately 5 hours per week, fixed term until 30th June 2021

We are seeking to appoint an experienced dance practitioner to deliver an exceptional experience for our Higher Education students through the delivery of innovative and inspirational teaching, learning and assessment leading to positive achievement outcomes and progression to employment or higher level study.  You will be required to teach technical classes and choreography in a variety of genres and strengthen student discovery and self-awareness via praxis.

You will undertake responsibilities for teaching and assessment, pastoral support and assisting course management, being responsible for the application of awarding/validating body regulations and procedures and upholding academic standards.

You will also be involved in all aspects of the student journey, including student recruitment, tutorial and pastoral support, course induction, curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, monitoring of student progress, management of student records, student achievement, and associated course and quality related administration.

You will require an academic qualification at Level 6 or above and a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to gain one).  You also require experience working within a Higher Education environment and knowledge of curriculum planning and development to meet the learning needs of all students within a possibly diverse cohort. Good written and verbal communication skills and good IT skills are also essential.
