Mind in Brighton and Hove empowers and supports people who have experience of mental health issues in Brighton and Hove, West and East Sussex. Our Advocacy Services take action to help people say what they want, secure their rights, represent their interests and obtain services they need.
We are seeking to appoint a full-time Advocate for the Brighton and Hove area. This role involves providing Independent Mental Health Advocacy, working within the framework of the Mental Health Act 1983 to support people to understand their rights under the Act and participate in decisions about their care and treatment across the area of Brighton and Hove. This post requires experience of managing a client case load, excellent communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a range of professionals, whilst retaining independence.
