Job Details

Apprenticeship level: Intermediate 

Training to be provided: 

East Sussex College will provide the apprenticeship framework which will include Diploma and Functional Skills.

East Sussex College will ensure Health & Safety, and Equality & Diversity.

State any other training you as an employer would be providing.

Working week:​

Monday – Friday  Term time only

2 days 08:30 – 16:30

3 days 08:30 – 16:00  

Paid hours per week: 36 hours per week

Wage: £149.79 per week

Expected duration: 18 months

Start date: January 2021 or as soon as possible after

The successful applicant will be involved in the following duties:

  • SharePoint) to effectively communicate with the team and wider community
  • The design of posters, postcards, templates, wall art, banners and online adverts
  • Updating social media content (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram)
  • Photography / Videography
  • Using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, Acrobat) to produce social media content, posters, adverts and various materials as required
  • Using digital formats (jpg, png, raw, mp4, mp3, etc.) to produce widely compatible designs
  • Printers and printing management (toners, fusers, paper, light maintenance). Ensure continuity of the printing service across the academy by identifying the needs of printers and their operators
  • Event support, management and promotion (dance shows, musicals, sports days)

East Sussex College are the Training Provider for this apprenticeship

  • Great Customer Service Skills
  • Good time management
  • Computer literate – ideally you will have knowledge and experience of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Highly organised

  • Team player that can work collaboratively as well as using own initiative
  • Confident to manage expectations
  • Calm and professional under pressure
  • Controlled when distracted
  • Energetic and enthusiastic and keen to learn new technologies, workflows and applications
  • Sensitive and compassionate with regards to highly sensitive information

Desired qualifications: 

GCSE English & Maths grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent qualifications) desirable

Future prospectus: 

Potential permanent full-time employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship
