Salary: £35,845 to £42,792 per annum (pro rata if part-time)

Bring your strong technical and organisational skills to this key role, based at our growing Moulsecoomb campus, where you will provide high quality, responsive modern telecommunications services to our diverse customer base of students and staff.

This is professional role providing specialist technical expertise, advice and leadership across the University for the provision of and support of telephony services. This includes external and internal services for fixed and mobile telephony, associated services such as call routing and contact centre technologies and the management of the university switchboard. The role sits within the IT Services division of Information Services and the post holder is responsible for providing reliable voice communications services which meet the current and future needs of the University, in a responsive and cost-effective manner.

We are seeking someone with a proven hands-on, technical understanding of current fixed and mobile telephony technologies, capable of delivering and supporting enterprise telephony services with proven experience of managing key projects, analysing requirements and addressing the needs of a diverse range of customers.

The successful applicant will have the skills to lead and develop a small, experienced team to deliver outstanding customer service across the University in close collaboration with other managers and internal as well as external technical resources.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships 

This is a grant-funded scheme which enables companies to access resources and expertise they need to innovate, grow and improve their performance.

KTP enables a highly skilled graduate, known as an Associate, to be employed by the university to work full-time in your company leading a strategic project, with the support of an academic team with expertise relating to the project.  

Projects last between 6 months and 3 years; up to 67% of the project costs are provided by the Technology Strategy Board or another government sponsor.
