Sessional Hours -
Based at our Brighton and Worthing Campuses
Due to increased demand for our CIPD (Chartered Institute Personnel Development) qualifications and Apprenticeships, we are seeking to appoint a bank of sessional CIPD Lecturers to deliver evening courses in Brighton and/or Worthing campuses.
We are interested to hear from HR Practitioners who have expertise in any of the areas of Employment Law, Reward Management, Talent Development & Digital Learning. Given the recent shift to utilising digital teaching tools and resources, having remote training/teaching experience would be advantageous.
You will have your own course cohort to manage and be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the student journey. This includes: course enrolment and induction, curriculum planning, teaching, learning and assessment, feedback to students, management of student records, student achievement, and all associated course and quality related administration. You will help to enable student progression on to higher levels of study, employment, or apprenticeships.
You will require an academic qualification at Level 5 / Level 6, or professional qualification equivalent in a relevant subject and have experience working in the Human Resources field; enjoying training and developing others. Good written and verbal communication and effective IT skills are essential. Whilst a recognised teaching qualification is desirable, you will be provided with professional development qualifications such as the Level 3 Certificate in Education & Teaching, 12 week course (worth £450) and/or PGCE in Education & Training 2 year course (worth £6,000).
We have one course requiring a tutor one evening a week on a Wednesday starting from 5th May 2021 for approx 32 weeks, observing the college term breaks. We would like the successful applicant to be able to start from April so that they can receive the training required to deliver teaching both from a remote delivery and face-to-face perspective. There will be additional evening and day time courses coming available from Sept, so please apply if this may interest you now or in the future.
Interviews will be conducted via a virtual meeting. These will be held on Tuesday 9th March between 10am-2pm & Wednesday 10th March 10am-2pm.
