The Falls Prevention team in Worthing are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to reduce the incidence and consequences of falls across West Sussex. This post will form part of a dynamic team delivering specialist assessment and tailored rehabilitation programmes to those who have, or are at risk of falling.

This post provides a unique opportunity to work as a multidisciplinary practitioner to provide a holistic service to our clients. We are presented with a wide range of conditions and there will be scope to develop your knowledge and interests in the areas of vestibular rehabilitation, falls rehabilitation for neurological clients, and anxiety management amongst other therapeutic interventions. There is also opportunity to develop experience in balance exercise groups.

The post holder will work closely with clients and their families alongside a range of services, both statutory and non statutory, to reduce falls and maximise health, wellbeing and independence.

When required the post holder will also provide tailored training sessions to a range of audiences across statutory and non statutory agencies, improving the prevention and management of falls across the whole system.

This post is part of a rotational Band 5 position which includes working within our Community Hospitals and Responsive Services Community Therapy Hub.
