We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and well organised teacher to contribute to the teaching of the A Level Drama and Theatre Studies and L3 BTEC Performing Arts Extended Certificate (Acting Pathway), and to take an important role in developing and managing cross-college drama enrichment provision, including the college’s annual show.

As a College, we are ambitious for our students and we need to appoint staff who can bring the right blend of flexibility, commitment, energy and vision. We welcome applications from enthusiastic and versatile teachers. We are a friendly, innovative and dynamic team of staff, currently comprising three full-time and ten part-time teachers.  From next year the department will be offering A Levels in Media Studies and Film Studies (Eduqas), BTEC Creative Media Production National Extended Certificate (Pearson), A levels in Dance (AQA), Drama & Theatre Studies (Eduqas), and Music (Eduqas) as well as BTEC Music Extended Certificate (Pearson), and BTEC Performing Arts (Acting Pathway) Extended Certificate (Pearson). Department teachers contribute to tutoring, as well as a number of exciting department and cross-college enrichment activities. Wherever possible, our students are offered regular opportunities to showcase work and their talent throughout the year.

This is a fixed term position to cover a sabbatical year taken by a staff member of the team  until August 2022. We will endeavour to timetable someone’s hours across four days, or eight half-days, of the week.
