Apprenticeship summary
- Working week: This role requires flexibility in working 42 hours a week which will include one long day each weekend. Shift patterns are 8:00 am – 2:00 pm, 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm, 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, 8:00 pm – 8:00 am
- Total hours per week: 42.00 (the hours are based on the candidate being over 18)
- Weekly wage: £416.22
- Expected duration: 18 months
- Possible start date: 26 Apr 2021
- Apprenticeship level: Higher Level Apprenticeship

Vacancy description
This is a demanding role with progression opportunities for the right person.
It will predominantly involve working with residents and meeting their daily living needs, while motivating and supervising others in the team and contributing to the smooth running of the home. It will also involve contributing to care planning, risk assessments, supervisions and quality assurance.

As a senior carer we expect:
• A sound knowledge of safeguarding, capacity, medication and leadership responsibiliities
• The ability to delegate
• Excellent time management skills
• The ability to provide an example to others in their own behaviour and manner, working well with all departments in the home to better the lived experience for all.

Desired qualifications
GCSE English & Maths grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent qualifications) desirable.
