Description - This role will sit in PLM Excellence which provides transparent information on Global Engineering reporting and portfolio planning, based on a consolidated source of consistent, accurate data.

The Data Analyst will support the definition, design and development of the global business intelligence products for PLM Excellence to provide information to allow executive management and business line management to make effective, informed decisions backed by solid data and analysis. Data products include portfolio and programme management metrics, agile team metrics, budget and financial performance metrics, dashboards and ad hoc reports.

Responsibilities - The responsibilities of this role will include:

• Defines and drivesthe Business Intelligence (BI)/Data Analysis near and long term strategy/roadmap for the realization of enterprise analytic and reporting throughout engineering as support to PLM Excellence.
• Directs the development of periodic and/or ad-hoc reports using analytics of data as needed. Assists senior management in identifying and delivering on new reporting capabilities and manages reporting needs from idea to implementation.
• Designs agile metrics to measure the performance, predictability, responsiveness, and quality of agile release trains.  Promotes the usage of BI dashboards and KPIs using Qliksense. Ability to ensure data visualisations are clear and understandable.
• Develop a data structure for sources of business data required to produce accurate and timely metrics (Agile planning, defect management and portfolio planning tools).
• Leads the development and implementation of the data analysis methodologies, tools, reports, templates, and services.
• Create and maintain reports, dashboards, calculations, data extracts, additions or services which exist or need to be created to support the portfolio, value stream, program, or team levels of SAFe
• Support Programme Managers in developing and maintaining visibility of project data for the overall programme.
• Update and distribute regular periodic reports

Relevant Knowledge, skills and competencies Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years analytics experience with strong hands-on data analytics skills. Interest in continuous investigation of new Business Intelligence methods and tools
• Expert level excel skills and analytical abilities with a strong attention to detail
• Strong knowledge of Qliksense preferred.
• Experienced in working with data, metrics, and calculations. Able to identify potential issues and make recommendations based on the data.  
• Philosophical understanding of relational databases; fundamental understanding of data architecture

• Ability to understand business strategy, analyze business processes and develop solutions to support the BI needs of the enterprise

• Experience troubleshooting and reviewing data trends and recommending solutions
• Knowledge of engineering development is preferred
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate express complex concepts with all management levels.  Requires effective presentation skills.
• Bachelor/Master degree in Business Administration, Information Science, Business, Engineering or related field preferred
