Job Details

Mind in Brighton and Hove empowers and supports people who have lived experience of mental health issues in Brighton & Hove, East and West Sussex.

We are seeking to recruit an additional Employment Advisor to join our team to provide advice and information, skills-based interventions, and employment support to people experiencing mental health issues who wish to remain in, return to and/or find work. The role will be varied and involve managing a busy caseload and include liaison work with employers and other external partners, so experience and a commitment to partnership working is required.

The role is full-time (35 hours per week) and fixed term until 31 March 2022 (with possible funding extension).

You will require an understanding of employment issues and the barriers people may face in the workplace. Skills in providing advice and information and a track record of successfully engaging and working with people experiencing mental health issues is essential.

The Employment Advice Service is part of a national initiative from NHS England to provide access to employment support within IAPT Services. The service provides employment support for people accessing treatment via the Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service. The Brighton and Hove Wellbeing Service is a primary care mental health service for people of all ages in the city experiencing common mental health issues.
