Vacancy description
To serve as the face of our business and senior management’s connection with our guests. We’re looking for a friendly individual who genuinely enjoys being around people and who can manage multiple tasks at once.
The ideal candidate will understand the importance of responding quickly to guests’ needs. You’ll be communicating with guests through email, over the phone and in person.
You will be working under supervision and day to day tasks will include the following:
Reception
- Answer the phone at the front desk to respond to current and prospective guests’ needs
- Book reservations for individuals, families and groups as required
- Greet walk-in guests and guests with reservations when they arrive at the front desk
- Schedule services when guests enquire
- Refer guests to local amenities and venues
- Communicate guests’ requests and complaints to the appropriate department
Restaurant:
- Greet customers upon entrance
- Prepare dining tables by arranging condiments, kitchenware and decorations
- Help patrons select dishes by answering questions about foods and drinks, describing house specialties and identifying appropriate drink pairings
- Take orders to kitchen staff and notify them of any special requests or dietary needs
- Deliver food to guests in a timely manner and attend to the needs of guests throughout the dining process
- Issue bills and obtain payment
Housekeeping:
- Performs cleaning duties in all guest areas and back of house
- Consistently offers professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Ensures housekeeping departmental standards are followed
- Assists other departments when needed to ensure optimum service to guests

Desired qualifications
Good GCSE results (A-C 9/4 or equivalent) are desirable.
Future prospects
Full time employment within our hotel. Promotion to supervisor and eventually managerial role expected.
Things to consider
Due to location in the country side own transport is desired, there is only 1 bus that runs every 2hrs.
