Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a Finance Administrator, looking to develop their career within a highly successful, growing tech company.

Due to BrightLocal’s continued growth we’re looking for a new Finance Administrator to help deliver the next phase of growth for Brightlocal.

A brief description of the role is:

Sales Ledger

  • Efficient and accurate allocation of Customer Payments via our Secure payment providers
  • Maintain accurate records of Receipts in all systems
  • Efficient and accurate management of Customer Success support tickets

Purchase Ledger

  • Accurate and efficient Data entry of all Supplier invoices into our Finance software, Xero
  • Ensure all Supplier payments are made in a timely manner
  • Process and Payment of staff expense claims
  • Management and processing of our monthly Staff Credit Card statements
  • Management and processing of our staff expense PLEO account for our Ukraine office
  • Monthly Petty Cash reconciliations and processing through Xero
  • Other Bookkeeping
  • Efficient sorting and filing of Finance paperwork
  • Providing support and cover for other team members when on leave/sick, where possible

 

We’re looking for a unique individual who has:

 

*  An eye for detail and a passion for accuracy

*  Works well as part of a team but also works well independently

*  An understanding of VAT

*  Being comfortable working inline with other currencies

Essential Skills

  • Experience with working in Excel and Google Suite software or similar

     

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of working with Xero or other Finance software

The office is informal and casual. We expect people to work hard but also to enjoy their time at work. We have a constantly-stocked drinks fridge and our kitchen cupboards overflow with snacks - of both the healthy and (very) unhealthy kind.

And we also make a big deal of important work anniversaries with presents and gift cards.

The music is always on and we take time out every few weeks to do fun team activities. We tend to break early on a Friday afternoon to ‘prepare for the weekend’ - i.e. lots of food (snacks) and drinks (beer, wine, G&Ts and soft drinks - take your pick!)

We feel incredibly fortunate that BrightLocal has remained stable and profitable throughout the pandemic and we remain on track to hit our revenue and growth goals for 2021. We have been able to support any struggling customers with long-term payment holidays and through additional training and support. We have had zero redundancies and have grown many of the teams across the business to ensure that we are in a strong position to help and support our growing customer base in 2021 and beyond.
